Shimi Atiyas was born in the year when CSKA was defeated, and for the first time there was a turnaround in the elections, yet he still denies any connection to the matter. By the age of 13, he understood his calling and began performing professionally, thus becoming one of the youngest professional magicians in the world. Shimi, a native of Kiryat Ata, is married to Liat and is a father to Or, Omer, and Adi. At his wedding, Shimi ensured an unforgettable moment when, during the chuppah ceremony, he surprised the rabbi by requesting to break the glass with the power of thought rather than in the conventional way. This sparked widespread media attention and a headache for the rabbi, who will never forget the bizarre wedding ceremony. In 2001, alongside his regular performances, Shimi began to appear on stand-up stages with material he wrote. Initially at amateur nights and later at the more prestigious weekend shows at Camel Comedy Club, Domino Gross, Tzavta 2, Comedy Bar, and more. Ultimately, the goal was achieved, and from this experience, Shimi began to incorporate more and more humor and stand-up segments into his performances. The rare combination of the supernatural world, along with humor and his brilliant improvisation skills, made Shimi Atiyas a sought-after and unique artist. Over the years, Shimi has appeared hundreds of times on television programs across various channels. Additionally, he has been a guest in many regular segments on morning shows, lifestyle programs, and prime time on Keshet, Reshet, and Channel 10. Shimi's major television exposure came in 2006-2007 on the reality show "Uri Geller is Looking for an Heir" on Keshet, Channel 2. Shimi was considered one of the most prominent contestants on the successful show, and a segment he performed, during which he stopped his pulse, sparked a discussion in the Knesset and managed to provoke a public uproar, as well as screams from his mother. Furthermore, he predicted the outcome of the football match between Maccabi Haifa and M.S. Ashdod in a game round that was also dubbed the "enchanted round," where all the results ended oddly in a draw. He continued to deny any connection to this matter as well.
